This page explains the refund policy for digital products on Dr. Yousef Abu Awwad's website: e-books read on the website and recorded courses.
1) Payment methods and payment processing
Some payments on our website may be processed through third-party payment providers, such as Paddle or PayPal, depending on the payment method the customer chooses and its availability.
When a payment is processed through Paddle, Paddle is the party that collects the payment and issues receipts, and its own terms and procedures may apply to the transaction.
2) Digital products and immediate access
Many of our products are digital and are made available immediately after payment is completed (such as courses or digital content). By completing the purchase and accessing the content, the customer agrees that the service/content begins immediately and acknowledges losing the right to cancel/withdraw, as permitted by applicable laws and the payment provider's policies.
3) When can a refund be requested? (Commonly accepted cases)
A customer may request a refund review in the following cases (including but not limited to):
- The amount was charged more than once for the same order.
- The course/content could not be accessed because of a technical problem on our side that was not resolved within a reasonable time.
- A product was bought by mistake and access to the digital content has not begun (where this can be verified).
4) Cases where a refund may not be accepted
A refund may not be approved in the following cases (including but not limited to):
- After access to the digital content has begun or it has been substantially used (such as watching parts of the course or opening the protected content).
- Signs of abuse of the refund policy, fraud or attempts to get around it.
5) How to submit a request and how it is decided
- Refund requests must be sent by email or through thesupport form stating the order number, the purchase email and the reason for the request.
- Requests are reviewed “case by case”.
- If the payment was made through Paddle, the customer may be asked to follow Paddle's own refund procedures, and the refund (if approved) is made to the original payment method according to the payment provider's mechanisms.
- If the payment was made through PayPal, the refund (if approved) is processed according to PayPal's procedures.
6) Review time
Refund processing time varies with the payment provider and the bank/wallet used, and may take several business days after approval.
To submit a refund request, contact us through the Help and Contactpage. For the website's terms of use, see the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
